"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!The world forgetting, by the world forgot.Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!"
--Alexander Pope

How often in our lives do we experience something we wish we could forget? How often would we pay to have something extracted from our memories in order to gain a better piece of mind?

A friend of mine was recently broken up with- and I set her up with the guy. Naturally I feel somewhat responsible. She then says, "I wish I could forget all about this and go on with my life." Up until then I felt bad. Things happen to us in the course of our lives for a reason. Whether its God, or Fate, or whatever- it makes us who we are. Shit happens, whether it makes us feel like we are on cloud nine, or makes us want to crawl under a rock and die there. Experiences make us better, stronger, smarter, and it makes us feel. Are we not human? For whatever reason we are put here, something made us fallible and privy to beauty and ugliness. Its up to us how we turn it around.
